1. How does one qualify for Olympic taekwondo?

To compete in Olympic taekwondo, athletes need to grab one of the five spots up for grabs in each of the eight weight classes (four for men and four for women). These spots are given out based on the World Taekwondo (WT) Olympic Rankings. Also, the top performer in each weight group on the merit points list will earn one spot for their country's National Olympic Committee (NOC) through the WT Grand Slam.
